Jake and Joe Morgan never knew their real parents. They were raised by Father Burle and Mother Kyra.
The night after Mother Kyra had lost her first child in labor there was a ring at their door.
Father Brule found the two baby boys wrapped in packing sheets and stuffed into a box. The only thing they had with them was
a note with their names on it.
Brule and Kyra always felt the boy's mother must have been one of the many young runaway girls that
tended to live on the streets of the Mars colony cave. She could have seen the mourning sign on their door and would have
know they had room in their lives for a child or two.

Brule and Kyra were navigators for the Red Star Gang. A merc group that worked for Weyland Corp. Good navigators
are hard to come by so the RSG put up with two screaming babies just to keep the two on board ship.
After the boys started to grow, they became like little brothers to the gang. Jake took right
to hanging out on the training deck. He learned to field strip a pistol before he was even strong enough to pull the slide
back. Joe on the other hand became the bridge pest. Always wanting to know how this worked, or what that switch was for. By
the time he was big enough to reach the communications board, he became the gang's bridge com tech. And when he was 18 he
was promoted to pilot.
They stayed with the gang working and becoming part of the team. When old man Red Olson died, the
gang voted Jake and Joe their new leaders. That's when they changed the name to Morgan's Marauders. Joe took over as captain
of the command ship, The Pravda, and Jake became commander of the ground forces.
