Pictures and text By Paul. Edited by the lovely and sweet Laura.

The New ankle sockets will have a small gap between the top of the socket and the bottom of the calf. It's up to you if you want to fill this spot or not. Filling it does give the leg a better line and you'll be less likely to catch clothing or stocking on the legs without the gap. So I went back to my Ave Apoxy clay to do the fill job.
I like the super white Apoxy clay. It's made to use with resin and I feel it's smoother than the other Apoxy clays. Seems like it has a softer feel after you sand it. I mixed the two parts and made a thin rope of clay. Then I wrapped the rope around the top of the ankle socket. Once I got rid of any extra clay I wet my finger and smoothed the clay into place the best I could.
I let the clay dry overnight and then sanded it with a couple of grades of nail files.
While I had the files out I went over the whole body and sanded the seams. I plan on sealing the body once I'm done so this will give it a nicer look when finished. Also with less roughness on the seams tight outfits like Nylons and stockings do'nt tend toget hung up as easy.

Filling the gaps

This girl is becoming a little devil. So she gets a coat of red Vinyl paint. But to be honest if your gonna put boots on the figure you could seal the body at this point and be done. If you plan on paint it then you may have to match the color of the body or just paint the whole body to match.
Most good spray sealers will fill in any sanding marks as long as you finished with a fine grade file. We have found the Mr Super Clear flat works the best.
Once this figure has a good base coat she will go to Laura. She'll blush and shade the body, Give her a beautiful face, and then a coat of sealer.

When she's all finished We'll add a picture of how she came out.
I hope this tutorial was helpful. If you have questions. You know where to reach me.

Thanks,
Paul
